Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Incubator Operations & Ecosystem Program Manager will support the day-to-day operations, ecosystem programs, and market-facing initiatives of the Microsoft Strategic Incubator.


This role focuses on building and engaging the VC / PE and Startup ecosystem, delivering high-quality market and ecosystem events, and driving cross-functional programs from planning through execution.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience working with VC / PE, Startups, incubators, accelerators, or the broader innovation ecosystem, as well as proven experience independently planning and delivering external-facing market or ecosystem events.


The role requires strong ownership, stakeholder management, and the ability to independently drive programs in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and incomplete information.

 

Key Responsibilities
1. VC / Startup Ecosystem Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with VC / PE firms, Startups, incubators, accelerators, entrepreneurship organizations, and other innovation ecosystem partners.
  • Support the identification, engagement, and ongoing relationship management of high-potential Startups.
  • Understand the needs of investors and entrepreneurs and connect them with relevant business, technology, market, and ecosystem resources.
  • Support collaboration with investment institutions, Startup Engagement initiatives, and cross-ecosystem programs.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends across AI, Cloud, enterprise technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, and venture investment to support ecosystem programs, event themes, and Startup engagement.

 

2. Marketing & Ecosystem Event Execution

  • Independently plan and execute market and ecosystem events targeting Startups, VC / PE firms, investors, founders, and innovation communities.
  • Deliver a variety of activities such as executive roundtables, closed-door sessions, Workshops, Roadshows, industry networking events, and Startup ecosystem programs.
  • Own end-to-end event delivery, including event planning, agenda and content design, speaker and guest coordination, partner engagement, vendor coordination, onsite execution, documentation, and post-event follow-up.
  • Coordinate internal teams, Startups, investment institutions, ecosystem partners, and external vendors to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.
  • Drive post-event engagement and follow-up to support continued ecosystem collaboration.


3. Program & Stakeholder Management

  • Independently manage programs with limited supervision, from requirement clarification and planning through execution and final delivery.
  • Manage multiple projects in parallel and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, status updates, and action items.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, drive decisions, resolve issues, and ensure action items are closed.
  • Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and blockers and coordinate resources to resolve them.
  • Effectively prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing requirements in a fastpaced environment.
  • Take ownership of overall program quality and delivery outcomes.

 

4. Internal Process & Vendor Coordination

  • Support internal operational and procurement processes required for ecosystem programs and events.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure required information and documentation are complete and accurate.
  • Support Quotation, SOW, internal approval, PO, procurement, and vendor management processes where required.
  • Track budget, procurement progress, and vendor delivery status to minimize operational impact on project timelines.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in ecosystem programs, market events, Startup ecosystem, VC / PE, incubators, accelerators, entrepreneurship services, consulting, or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience in the VC / PE and Startup ecosystem, with a solid understanding of investors, Startups, incubators, accelerators, and the broader innovation ecosystem.
  • Proven experience independently planning and delivering external-facing market or ecosystem events from concept through execution and follow-up.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with investment institutions, Startups, founders, and ecosystem partners.
  • Strong program/project management and execution capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong Stakeholder Management and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Strong ownership, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and drive execution in a fast-changing environment with incomplete information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience working with Microsoft or Microsoft-related programs and ecosystem initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft internal operational or approval processes.
  • Experience with PO, procurement, Quotation, SOW, or vendor management.
  • Experience in AI, Cloud, enterprise technology, Developer, Partner, or Innovation Ecosystem programs.
