Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          We are currently hiring a Test Specialist 1- Data Communication Specialist to support our global software client in Vancouver, Washington. This role is responsible for obtaining, managing and transforming critical datasets from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency for downstream reporting and analytics for our client’s sustainability team. This is a full-time, long-term, onsite position with Monday-Friday day shift hours. You also must reside locally to the client-site in Vancouver, Washington, and must already be eligible for employment in the US without visa sponsorship.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Acquire and compile data from multiple sources through written and verbal communication for reporting and analysis.
  • Capture, enter, organize, consolidate, validate, and maintain data from external sources in spreadsheets, tracking tools, and applicable databases.
  • Compile and maintain accurate product documentation, reporting files, and reports using established templates, predetermined spreadsheets, and applicable databases.
  • Use Excel, Databricks, Power BI, and related tools to process data, support report generation, and help ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Review data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, and identify patterns, gaps, or inconsistencies to flag issues as needed.
  • Summarize, structure, and communicate data findings to support reporting, project progress updates, and team decision-making.
  • Provide regular updates, respond to ad hoc reporting requests, and present findings to team members, stakeholders, and clients as needed.
  • Support process improvements and perform additional duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong to advanced experience with spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), including formulas, sorting/filtering, pivot tables, charts, report generation, and data organization/manipulation.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining accurate, consistent, and reliable data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to review, organize, and summarize data in a clear, structured way to support reporting and team decision-making.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across varied levels of employees and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in gathering, validating, and managing data from multiple sources.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple reporting needs and shifting priorities.
  • Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment with evolving processes and changing priorities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year STEM technical/college diploma preferred; 4-year STEM degree highly desirable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Databricks or Power BI.
  • Exposure to maintaining tracking files or working with data from multiple sources.
  • Familiarity with advanced spreadsheet functions, including Microsoft Excel, with automation tools, macros or scripting.
  • Coding and/or scripting experience is a plus.

  • A competitive pay of $20-$24/hr. (depending on experience).
