POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server / Data & AI Specialist to join our team in India. This is a hybrid role, with preferred locations including Hyderabad, Bangalore, and PAN India, depending on business requirements. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SQL Server technologies and data platforms, along with strong technical leadership and operational support capabilities to drive high-quality delivery across client environments.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Lead end-to-end SQL Server administration and operations, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migrations across enterprise environments.
Manage and support SQL Server core engine architecture, ensuring optimal performance, availability, security, and reliability.
Own high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including Failover Clustering and Always On Availability Groups, and drive issue resolution in reactive scenarios.
Perform advanced performance tuning and troubleshooting, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive action plans through closure.
Handle reactive operational incidents related to SQL Server performance, HA/DR, security, maintenance, and upgrades with minimal supervision.
Collaborate with application owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide effective database solutions.
Provide technical leadership during escalations, demonstrating strong ownership, accountability, and decision-making skills.
Support and integrate related data components and tools, including SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI, and Azure data services.
Ensure adherence to operational best practices, including monitoring, capacity planning, backup/recovery, and security compliance.
Contribute to delivery roadmaps, process improvements, and continuous optimization opportunities for SQL Server platforms.
Maintain punctuality, availability during assigned shifts, and readiness for onsite presence, travel, or relocation as per client needs.
Continuously upskill by pursuing recommended certifications and accreditations aligned with SQL Server and Data & AI technologies.
