Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a strategic and influential Finance Director to provide financial leadership and own the P&L for our Americas region. This role is a critical member of the global finance leadership team, responsible for steering the region's financial performance, ensuring robust fiscal governance, and partnering with senior business leaders to drive growth and operational excellence. The Finance Director will shape financial strategy, manage risk, and optimize resources to achieve the company's strategic objectives in the Americas.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership & Business Partnership:
    • Serve as the primary financial advisor to the Americas leadership team, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making, investment priorities, and growth initiatives.
    • Develop and execute the region's mid to long-term financial plan, aligning regional targets with global strategic goals.
    • Lead the financial evaluation of new market entry, business development opportunities, and major capital expenditures.
  • Operational Finance & Control:
    • Hold ultimate accountability for the integrity of all financial reporting for the Americas region, ensuring full compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
    • Champion a culture of strong internal controls and fiscal discipline. Oversee all regional audit activities (internal and external) and ensure timely remediation of findings.
    • Direct and optimize the financial closing, forecasting, and budgeting processes for the region.
  • Tax, Treasury & Compliance Strategy:
    • Provide strategic oversight for all tax matters, including direct and indirect tax compliance, transfer pricing, and tax planning, in close coordination with global tax experts.
    • Manage regional cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities to ensure liquidity and funding for operational and strategic needs.
    • Proactively monitor and ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal financial regulations across the Americas.
  • Team Leadership & Organizational Development:
    • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional growth, and accountability.
    • Drive talent development and succession planning within the regional finance function.
  • Global Integration & Process Transformation:
    • Act as the key liaison between the Americas region and IHQ/Global Finance, ensuring seamless integration of global policies, systems, and initiatives.
    • Spearhead process improvement and digital transformation projects within the finance function to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and the quality of business intelligence.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA required.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Director or Senior Manager) with P&L oversight in a multinational corporation.
  • Proven track record as a strategic business partner to senior executive leadership, influencing key business decisions.
  • Deep expertise in US GAAP and a strong understanding of tax and compliance frameworks across the Americas (US, Canada, LATAM).
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365) and advanced financial modeling skills.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a significant advantage.
  • Occasional infrequent in person activity may be required

  • Excellent commercial acumen and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance risk, compliance, and business growth objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead, influence, and collaborate effectively across all levels of a global, matrixed organization
  • Resilient and adaptable, comfortable managing ambiguity and leading through change in a fast-paced, multi-time-zone environment.

  • A competitive pay range of $120,000-180,000 (depending on experience).
  • KPI based bonus
