Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Teams Phone Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise-scale Teams Phone solutions. The role requires expertise in telephony services, PSTN/Cloud PBX, Teams administration, and IP networking. The ideal candidate will combine technical skills with strong troubleshooting capabilities to ensure reliable, secure, and high-quality voice solutions.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Design, implement, and support Teams Phone systems and other Cloud PBX solutions.

  • Administer Teams environments using Teams Admin Center for phone system management.

  • Integrate and configure PSTN connectivity and telephony services with Teams.

  • Ensure smooth collaboration with Teams client applications and Office client products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Apply knowledge of IP networking, LAN, and WAN services to resolve connectivity and performance issues.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve Teams Phone and telephony-related issues quickly and effectively.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical expertise for enterprise communication projects.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic knowledge of PSTN and telephony services.
  • Minimum 5 years of Microsoft 365 administration experience with proficiency in Teams Admin Center.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing Teams Phone or other Cloud PBX solutions.
  • Knowledge of Teams client applications and Office client products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Teams Admin Center administration.
  • Basic knowledge of IP networking (LAN/WAN services).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve Teams Phone and related issues.
  • Native or fluent Japanese (read, write, speak, listen).

Preferred / Optional Skills

  • Experience designing and implementing on-premises IP PBX/SIP servers, voice gateways, or SBCs.

  • Experience in Teams administration using PowerShell scripts.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 services (Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online).

  • Basic knowledge of VDI.

  • Microsoft 365 certification (MS-700: Managing Microsoft Teams) preferred.
