POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled Security (Identity) Engineer to join our team in Tokyo. This role will focus on both on-premises and cloud identity solutions, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable identity management for enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Active Directory, Entra ID, and related technologies, combined with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Design, implement, and maintain identity and access management (IAM) solutions for enterprise environments.

• Manage and support on-premises identity systems including AD, ADFS, and WAP.

• Configure and administer cloud identity systems including Entra ID and Microsoft Entra Connect.

• Troubleshoot and resolve identity-related issues across hybrid environments.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver secure IAM solutions.

• Stay up to date on industry best practices and emerging identity/security technologies.

• Contribute to security governance, audits, and compliance initiatives as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with on-premises identity solutions (AD, ADFS, WAP).

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud identity solutions (Entra ID, Microsoft Entra Connect).

• Solid understanding of computer networks (HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, DNS).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in identity/security engineering.

• Native or fluent in Japanese (read, write, speak, listen).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of PKI (AD CS, X.509).

• Knowledge of MIM / FIM.

• Understanding of on-premises ID protocols (Kerberos, NTLM, LDAP).

• Understanding of cloud ID protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, FIDO, SCIM).

• Familiarity with O365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams).

• Experience with Intune.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Defender (MDE, MDI, MDCA).
