POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled Security (Identity) Engineer to join our team in Tokyo. This role will focus on both on-premises and cloud identity solutions, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable identity management for enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Active Directory, Entra ID, and related technologies, combined with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Design, implement, and maintain identity and access management (IAM) solutions for enterprise environments.
Manage and support on-premises identity systems including AD, ADFS, and WAP.
Configure and administer cloud identity systems including Entra ID and Microsoft Entra Connect.
Troubleshoot and resolve identity-related issues across hybrid environments.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver secure IAM solutions.
Stay up to date on industry best practices and emerging identity/security technologies.
Contribute to security governance, audits, and compliance initiatives as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with on-premises identity solutions (AD, ADFS, WAP).
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud identity solutions (Entra ID, Microsoft Entra Connect).
Solid understanding of computer networks (HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, DNS).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in identity/security engineering.
Native or fluent in Japanese (read, write, speak, listen).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under deadlines.
Knowledge of PKI (AD CS, X.509).
Knowledge of MIM / FIM.
Understanding of on-premises ID protocols (Kerberos, NTLM, LDAP).
Understanding of cloud ID protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, FIDO, SCIM).
Familiarity with O365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams).
Experience with Intune.
Knowledge of Microsoft Defender (MDE, MDI, MDCA).
